Business has long been intrigued by the fact that some folks are
tremendously successful in leading people while others "fall flat on
their face". Much research has been focused on understanding the
development of leadership skills, and we at Dr. K. Kay Potetz & Associates believe that with the appropriate
training, people can and do learn the
required leadership skills to provide organizational effectiveness.
Our leadership training program focuses on progressive methods to enhance
leadership's ability to meet the tremendous changes in our work
environment; the workforce, organizational culture and the business
arena in general. The new millennium requires that leadership is viewed
as a process of serving the organization as well as the employees. We
have developed our training sessions with that concept in mind.
We have focused on 12 segments of leadership development and have
organized them into three core areas for purposes of simplification.
They include:
Each program is 1-1/2 to 2 hours in length and will consist of
lecture and experiential opportunities (a.k.a. action learning). It is
suggested that one program segment be scheduled per week. This will
provide participants the opportunity to experiment with techniques
learned and return with questions, comments, and to discuss issues.
